EFFECT OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ON CREATIVITY: MODERATING ROLE OF PERSONALITY TRAITS

Abstract

This study set out to investigate the role of personality traits between the relationships of religious beliefs with creativity among undergraduate students. A sample of 365 students aged 18-27 years; 180 male and 185 female students studying in Bahaudin Zakariya University Multan participated in this study by competing measures of Personality Traits, Creativity Adjective List, Religious Beliefs Questionnaire, and a list of demographic characteristics. Findings demonstrated the religious beliefs significantly positively related with creativity. Findings Moreover the analysis in terms of personality traits showed that religious beliefs and extraversion were positively correlated to creativity. Findings further suggested that personality traits of emotional stability and extraversion contributed as moderators for the association between religious beliefs and creativity among students.
